Here are some past and current projects. Please feel free to click around to get
an idea of my design style.
Newstead Farm raises thoroughbred horses and has produced a Kentucky Derby winner. They needed a website
to allow visitors to find their rural Virginia location. This project included all coding and design,
other than the logo, which was provided to me as a guide for color and feel.
Advanced Image Media, a CD and DVD duplication company, hired me to redesign their site. The first one
was created by Verizon, using common templates. My daughter created the basis of their logo and I
embellished it, which provided the color palette for the rest of the redesign. Based in Slidell,
Louisiana, Advanced Image Media survived Hurricane Katrina and is open for business.
This website was built for a not-for-profit group whose goal is to improve the educational system in Texas, both
for the students and for the teachers.
A payday loan company out of Dallas hired me to create their website. This site consists
of informational pages, loan and extension applications, and a database-driven back-end control panel for the
site owner to administer loan and extension requests. The site is currently unavailable but the owner
will be reinstating it at a later date.
Hips Targets, manufacturer of the most durable archery targets available, asked me to redesign their website,
giving it a more professional appearance, adding functionality, and making it search engine friendly. This
site is database-driven and utilizes a back-end control panel to maintain the online catalog.
Bass is Bodacious belongs to Tim Tindall, a bass player from New York City who has written a book of
bass transciptions of the work of Donald Duck Dunn. The book is entitled What Duck Done and
is available for sale from bassisbodacious.com. Tim has more projects in the works so more books
and products will be available as they're finished.
I was contracted by
eMetric
to design interfaces for projects they are working on. This is one of those
projects, an online file exchange application. In addition, I worked with eMetric
to create the interfaces they used to land the Stanford 10 Results Online contract from
Harcourt.
The official website of Janet O'Connor, Texas-based singer/songwriter. Janet
writes her own songs and has a beautiful voice. I made the site reflect the
earthiness I feel from Janet.
This project involved designing a logo and fully skinning a blog.
This is a family owned and operated outfit that wanted a website to focus on
their custom exhaust system business. This project is in progress so not all
content is in yet.
The official website of Gib Wharton, jazz pedal steel guitarist. This website is
a major step in my quest to be the webmaster to the stars.
This site offers homeowners insider tips on dealing with insurance companies.
This is a subscription service.
A gallery website for an artist who works primarily in pencil and
creates exquisite animal portraits.
Fun with '50s retro design elements! Advent wanted a nice, simple online flyer with
a contact form, something clean and sparkling for their janitorial service.
This site has not been continued by the client, so if you click on the link, you'll
see a screenshot that I've archived. This project involved website design,
graphic design and logo creation.
Here is a site that was designed by someone else. I have been asked to maintain it and
optimize it for search engines. The site went from doing a drop of business here and
there to pulling in hundreds of visitors every day. And each day, the numbers keep
growing. In addition to search engine optimization, I incorporated a couple of
weblogs so the client can maintain certain pages themselves, and I also removed
the static gear pages and replaced them with content served from a database. Their
shopping cart is now up to date all the time!
This is a full redesign. The original design was out of date and lacked
professionalism. This site will grow over time, but for now contains basic
information.
Currey Creek wanted a website that was light and clean and reflected the natural
design of their logo. They have since changed their image, and thus their website,
so this is now in archive.
I took an existing site and completely revamped it, giving it a more professional
appearance and adding functionality by allowing for online registration and the
hiring of bartenders for special events.
This project reflects and integrates the artwork and design of the book by the same name.
A brochure site for a local handyman.
An online business card for a couple of attorneys.
Babyquest is a "Dear Birth Mother" website I did for a couple who were
looking to adopt a baby. They've since adopted and the site has been moved to
the archives.
FeldySA is an online resource for information about the Feldenkrais Method of
Movement, owned by San Antonio's only Feldenkrais practitioner.
This is a website built for a children's photographic artist. She no longer
owns this business, so I've archived the site for this portfolio.
Timeless Tints is a very nice example of my design and graphic skills.
Basecamp is my personal website. Much of the content is fed from a database and
the code relies heavily on style sheets and server side includes, making maintenance
much easier.
This is the first website I made as a web-designer-for-hire several years ago.
The current code is no longer under my control, but so far the site looks the same.
A gallery site for the paintings of Corky, a wonderfully talented artist
currently residing in Albuquerque, NM. You may notice throughout this site
that Corky likes to spell Albuquerque the old way, Alburquerque. It's not wrong.
It's not a typo. It's just archaic.
This is a tribute site done for a friend whose son has passed.
